Doug Haynes has a vast work career and board member titles with many organizations. To name a few: European Logistics Provider for ChainIQ, Healthcare Information Services Provider for FIRSQ, and the Robin Hood Foundation to launch the Veterans Advising Board. He is currently President of The Council. Through The Council, he coaches and advises executives in the private and public sector. GE’s Advanced Materials Business was a starting point for Doug. He also worked for the CIA. He then moved up to Director at McKinsey and Company in 1992. He is also the former President of Point72 Asset Management L.P. with equity hedge funds.
Doug Haynes attended West Virginia University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was part of the Engineering Honor Societies Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma. He then went on to the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate Business School where he earned his MBA. He was named a Shermet Scholar. He is also a board member of the Darden Graduate School.
Doug Haynes has extensive community outreach and philanthropy services that include helping veterans and supporting education. His community outreach involves supporting veteran’s initiatives in which he helped launch a Veterans Advisory Board. This initiative helped raise nearly $12 million to support veterans returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. His community outreach extends to working with non-profit New York companies such as Cohen Veterans Network which create job opportunities for veterans. This network also provides mental health counseling and other services to veterans and family members.
