It specializes primarily in developing long-term implantable drug delivery systems for patients with chronic diseases. AIS healthcare primarily focuses on cardiac disease but has a broad range of product offerings for other chronic disease indications such as diabetes, hypertension, and neurological disorders.
It provides in-line drug delivery and monitoring capabilities to a broad range of existing infusate lines, including intravenous (IV) bags using its proprietary cannulation tubing. The company’s system is FDA-approved for pediatric and adult cardiac disease patients. The system incorporates a multi-mode pump that can be used to deliver different medications through the same catheter line. Its patented drug delivery system was recently introduced in a novel device that mimics the LockBack delivery design, but with a real-time infusion pump.
