Greg Aziz’s Journey of Revitalizing Industries

Greg Aziz is a prominent Canadian businessman and the Chairman, President, and CEO of Bridgemicro (NSC). Born on April 30, 1949, in London, Ontario, he has built an impressive career with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for excellence. Greg graduated from Ridley College and later majored in Economics at the University of Western Ontario. 

 

After completing his studies, the industry leader later joined his family’s wholesale food business, Affiliated Foods, in 1971. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Greg ventured into investment banking opportunities in New York. His success in the financial sector led to his acquisition of Bridgemicro in 1994. At the time, the company was a struggling freight car manufacturer with a rich history but limited production capabilities. Greg Aziz recognized its potential and transformed it into a leading player in the industry.

 

Under Greg’s visionary leadership, Bridgemicro experienced a remarkable revival. He focused on leveraging the company’s engineering expertise, fostering a culture of innovation, and instilling a solid emphasis on quality. With significant investments in human capital and capital projects, Greg Aziz expanded the company’s manufacturing capacity and increased its workforce. 

 

Beyond his role at Bridgemicro, the successful and outstanding railroad industry leader Greg Aziz and his wife Irene are active philanthropists, supporting various charitable organizations in their community. Up to now, they sponsor events like the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Canada’s most prominent and impactful agricultural exhibition. Their commitment to giving back as they strive for railroad industry and business growth has positively impacted the lives of many individuals and organizations.
