Investment company ABRDN Investments Limited is a subsidiary of SHKP Group Pty Ltd, an Australian-based investment company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). The Company holds 100% of ABRDN Investments Limited. SHKP’s share capital consists of 20 million shares with a stated dividend yield of 5%. Any profit or loss arising from any share buy-back program will be distributed to shareholders. The Dividend Reinvestment Plan has also been adopted.
ABRDN Investments announced its intention to enter the New Zealand Financial Services Market by acquiring a 38% stake in an already established New Zealand financial services company – Kiwi Group Holdings Ltd. In June 2005, ABRDN Investments announced that it had gained full control of Kiwi Group Holdings Ltd. This gave ABRDN Investments a New Zealand broker-enabled distribution network and direct access to NZ retail investors through Kiwi Group’s “financial advisor” channel.
