Kelcy Warren
Kelcy Warren is the CEO of Energy Transfer Equity. He joined the company in 1995 taking the role of an analyst where he was able to learn how the business was managed. In 1998 he started with his first purchase that made him a partner at Energy Transfer Equity, LLC. He then acquired his first stake in Iroquois Gas Transmission System which made him to become a co-owner of the pipeline as well. Then in 2001, he became the Managing partner and lead director for Energy Transfer Partners.
Kelcy Warren has been able to transform Energy Transfer into one of the biggest independent natural gas transmission and gathering system companies in America. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Energy Transfer Partners, which is a huge $20 billion enterprise that has grown to become the biggest developer of natural gas infrastructure in the country.
Kelcy Warren’s Family History
Kelcy Warren grew up with his parents in Texas. They then moved to Dallas where he had his high school education at Highland Park High School. His love for adventure made him to pursue an economics degree from Southern Methodist University, a private university in Dallas. He graduated after four years and obtained a wide range of business exposure whilst at university. Kelcy Warren was one of the best students and was included amongst the top ten percent. His major influences in business were his parents as his father was an accountant and his mother was a bookkeeper. He was also influenced by General Robert E Lee whose statue he saw at the University of Virginia.
Kelcy Warren’s Early Career
When Kelcy Warren left university, he pursued a job with the Dallas law firm of Gardere & Wynne, which is one of the biggest law firms in Texas.
