Nick Millican Concerning House Price Index Reports

It’s no secret that the housing market has not been kind to the younger generation but now it seems they may be quick to give up on the dream of home ownership altogether. According to real estate agent Nick Millican, recent reports seem to indicate the housing prices in London have soared.

They’ve soared so high that many millennials have lost interest in the prospect of ever owning a house as real estate expert Nick Millican comments. The survey from the HomeOwners Alliance says that less than 50% of all those who aspire to buy a house for the first time feel they will be able to do so.

While the housing prices did fall a bit in 2023, they have since risen in the new year. This seems to indicate the revival of the market, but it also spells doom and gloom for those who hope to become first time homeowners. Unfortunately, as Nick Millican comments, the rental market doesn’t seem to be much better as it can often be incredibly difficult to save up enough just to put a deposit on a new flat.

Will the market become more favorable to these people in the coming months? It’s entirely possible but Jeremy Hunt is warning people not to get their hopes up in that regard (Bmmagazine).

It all depends on the demand for these properties and how much people are willing to pay for them, real estate expert Nick Millican shares. But there are plenty of housing markets throughout the nation, so perhaps they will be able to find better pricing somewhere else. We’ll just have to wait and see how it pans out.
