John Hailer is a Swiss-American financial marketer and investor. He became the CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management after the French bank acquired the American firm Babson Capital Management. He has a degree in economics from the University of Lausanne and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard University.
Natixis John Hailer is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM). As CEO, he is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of NGAM’s global investment management business with US$7 billion in assets under management. With a passion for finance and markets, John is also an active Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) member.
John’s investment career spans nearly 30 years. Before joining NGAM in 2015, he was at Babson Capital Management, a Boston-based global asset manager with US$8 billion in assets under management. John served as Chief Executive Officer of Babson Capital Management and was an active board member.
John Hailer is also an active investor and commentator in the technology space. John was a director of State Street Research & Management. Under his leadership, the company pioneered mobile technology for research and trading. He was also the founding chairman of BITS, the Boston-based technology forum.
John is a recipient of Euromoney’s award “Best CEO in Asset Management 2010”. He was named one of the ‘Top 100 Most Influential Investors in Europe’ by Bloomberg Markets Magazine and received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award in Financial Services and Insurance category. He also received a Distinguished Alumni Award from Babson College.
